Spectrum Admission and M.S. Registration

If you're looking at the middle school registration forms we received, you'll notice that there are boxes to check if you're registering for Spectrum or APP. But -- the district hasn't yet mailed test results to families that would indicate if your child qualifies for Spectrum or APP!

The word I get from people who have experience with these things is: If your child took the Spectrum entrance test and you think your child may qualify for Spectrum, you should just wait a week or two for the test results to arrive (they arrive by mail, not through school). The on-time enrollment period goes through February 29, so there is time to wait a while. Then you'll know for sure whether your child qualifies for Spectrum and you can register for Spectrum classes on the enrollment form. (If you didn't wait, or if you don't want to wait, I hear that you can "amend" your enrollment application if needed, but I'm not exactly sure how that's done.)

Remember -- on-time enrollment means that your Middle School Application form has been received by the district enrollment office by February 29.
